Jantar Mantar: About, History, Activities, Time, and Entry Fees

Jantar Mantar in Jaipur is an astronomical observatory in the mid-18th century. The construction was way ahead of the present to that period, as it presents ancient methods to read stars and skies. History

Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh built Jantar Mantar in the early 18th century by assembling fixed stones and marble forming an enormous building. The Maharaja had an interest in tracking the motions of different shapes and celestial objects in the sky.

This show is the main highlight of Jantar Mantar, as it flaunts the historical representation of Pink City. The narration sounds immersive with all enticing color tones making it worthwhile for the viewers.

Show timings differ by season like in the month from October to February it's 6:30 pm onwards, and the month from March to April starts from 7 pm. Therefore, from May to September it's from 7:30 pm onwards.

Timings and Entry fees

The time to visit Jantar Mantar, Jaipur is from 9 am to 5 pm, every day of the week. The whole Jaipur sightseeing tour of this can be done within 45 minutes.

The entry fee for Indian residents and students is INR 50 AND INR 15 per person respectively. As for the foreign nationals and students, it's INR 200, and INR 100 per person respectively.
