Our 7 Days Rajasthan Shekhawati Haveli Tour is especially designed to get you introduced to the interesting world of the Shekhawati region. Shekhawati is well known as the “open-air art gallery of Rajasthan,” and is filled with lovely havelis that are richly adorned with vibrant frescoes, offering stories of daily life, mythology and history. You will venture into the interior of the Shekhawati region to witness the pictorial delights of Nawalgarh, Dundlod, Mandawa and Fatehpur. Behold the architecture of this ancient residence, which all attest to the wealth and artistic sense of the Marwari merchants.

The tour of 7 days provides a comprehensive and extraordinary experience of Rajasthan’s rich heritage, including not just the havelis but also the desert scenery of Bikaner. The tour is all set to provide you with a deep appreciation of the unique charm of this offbeat corner of the state because it is the perfect blend of history, art and culture.

Day 1: Jaipur Arrival

You’ll be given a warm welcome and taken to the hotel you have pre-booked upon your arrival at Jaipur airport or railway station. The day will be all yours after you’ve checked into your room. You can choose to spend your time at the hotel or venture out to discover Jaipur’s local bazaars, famous for its vibrant jewellery, handicrafts and clothes. Jaipur is abuzz with history and culture; its bazaars offer a great view of local culture. End your holiday in the incredible city by having a traditional Rajasthani lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 2: In Jaipur

We’re going to discover Jaipur’s renowned sights. Visit the stunning Amber Fort, a fortress known for its innovative Hindu-style architecture. Like the kings of yore, you can take a ride on an elephant to the fort. Next, we’ll visit the stunning Hawa Mahal, a unique five-story façade with 953 small windows. Then visit the City Palace, an impressive complex of gardens, courtyards and museums that blend Mughal and Rajput style of architecture. Next, visit the Jantar Mantar, an 18th-century astronomical observatory and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You may attend a cultural show or have free time to roam around the city.

Day 3: Pushkar Transfer

After a leisurely breakfast, we’ll drive to Pushkar, a holy town in Rajasthan. Rest at your hotel upon arrival. The sacred Pushkar Lake is in the center of the serene town of Rajasthan. Visit the Brahma Mandir, the only temple in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. Many ghats and temples are sprawling all over the town, and you can walk through the local bazaars, famous for their unique handicrafts, silver ornaments and winding alleys.

Day 4: Nawalgarh Transfer

As we take a drive to Nawalgarh, we are entering the heart of Shekhawati. With some of the finest frescoes in the region, the town is a goldmine of art and architecture. Check into the hotel in Nawalgarh. Exploring Nawalgarh’s beautiful havelis will occupy the afternoon. The Podar Haveli Museum is a beautifully preserved house offering an insight into the lifestyle of the Marwari merchants. We’ll visit other interesting havelis, including the Murarka Haveli and the Aath Haveli.

Day 5: Nawalgarh – Dundlod – Mandawa

We’ll go on traveling in the Shekhawati region after breakfast. Dundlod is a small village with a big fort and several painted havelis. We’ll visit the Jagathia Haveli, famous for its beautiful paintings and the Dundlod Fort, an erstwhile palace. Take a drive from Dundlod to Mandawa, the classic Shekhawati town with several frescoes and havelis. Check into the hotel upon arrival. The remaining day will be spent exploring Mandawa’s famous havelis, like the Murmuria Haveli and the Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli. Taking a walk along the town’s streets is much like a walk through a living museum of art, and it's a charming feel.

Day 6: Mandawa – Fatehpur – Bikaner

We’ll take a brief stopover in Fatehpur during our drive from Mandawa to Bikaner. Famous for its painted havelis and for the Nadine Le Prince Haveli, a superbly restored house that is today a gallery and a hostel. Fatehpur is another Shekhawati town, a bit before driving to Bikaner, the Camel City. When you reach Bikaner’s hotel, you’re free for the evening. The huge Junagarh Fort and the eccentric Karni Mata Temple, which you can visit at your convenience.

Day 7: Bikaner – Delhi & Departure

You’ll be driven to Bikaner Junction to board a train to Delhi after an early breakfast. You will be dropped off at the airport and take a flight from there to Delhi and then on to your next destination.
